Traveller: prakoṣṭhasya kuñcikā dīyatām, kṛpayā.

Hp: bhavataḥ prakoṣṭhasya dvāram nāstyevāsmin kāle.

Your room is not having a door at this time.

T: dvāramāsīt prātaḥkāle.

A door was there this morning.

Hp: ām, kintu naivādhunā.

Yes. But not now.

T: dvāreṇa saha prakoṣṭham icchāmi.

i like to have a room with a door.

Hp: dvāram prakoṣṭhasya 21 bhavati.

A door is on room number 21.

T: dhanyavādaḥ. mama syūtaḥ bhavatyāḥ paścād dṛśyate.

Thank you. i see my bag behind you.

Hp: ām, kṛpayā svīkarotu.

Yes. Please take it.

T: aham dinadvayam atra sthāsyāmi.

i will be here two days only.

Hp: kṛpayā, phalam svīkarotu.

Please take a fruit.

T: etat phalam surasaṃ bhavati.

This fruit is delicious.

Hp: etad uttamam yad bhavate rocate

T: praṣṭum icchāmi kimartham aham adhunānyasmin prakoṣṭhe iti

May I ask why I am in another room ?

Hp: asmākam tu anuṣṭhānam asti pitṛvyaputryartham

We are having a celebration for my cousin.

sā aṣṭādaśa-varṣa-vayaskā bhavati.

She is 18 years old.

Hp: utpīṭhikā āvaśyakā āsīt, kintu sā nāsīdeva,

T: tasyāḥ janmadinasya anuṣṭānaṃ pratīkṣitaṃ nāsīd vā?
