sā danḍanāyakaputreṇa
saha ramamāṇā tiṣṭhati /

one-day she magistrate’s-son with playing stands

atha daṅḍanāyaka: api
rantum tatra āgata:

now magistrate
also to-play
there approached

tam āyāntam dṛṣṭvā tat
putram kuśūle nikṣipya
him arriving
having-seen that son
into-granary having-pushed
daṅḍanāyakena saha
tathā eva trīḍati /
magistrate with so just she-plays

anantaram tasyā
bhartā gopa: goṣṭhāt samāgata: /
thereupon of-her
husband the-cowherd from-the-fold arrived

tam ālokya gopyā uktam

laguḍam gṛhītvā
magistrate, you a-stick
having-taken
kopam
darśayan satvaram gaccha

gopena gṛham āgatya bhāryā pṛṣṭā /

by-him being-done, by-cowherd
to-house having-come wife
was-asked

anviṣya atra na dṛṣṭa: /
and by-his-father having-searched here
no was-seen
father
searched for him but could not find him

eva gacchati /
therefore verily
that magistrate angry
indeed goes

sā tatputram kuśūlāt vahiṣkutya darśitavatī /
thereupon she
his-son out-of-granary conducting
showed (him)
