and so on-the-one-hand Philip loudly shouts

stones and pelts

Argus rushes at it and so fiercely falls-upon

wolf flees away.

and Philip hurries after

but now Argus seizes wolf and hold it with his

and Philip
himself is already there and
takes his knife

and strikes wolf

at that very moment grandfather approaches

when one gets to top. as poet says,

citizens and foreigners,
σπεύδουσι πρὸς αγορᾱν.

Μυρρίνη
φοβουμένη ̔υπὲρ τῶν
παίδων φησίν,
and so Myrrhine fearing for her children says,

come here Philip, and take hold of my hand

for procession is approaching. yall-become out-of-way.

then herald
proclaims to-people.

keep-holy-silence, citizens.

Thunderer, receive our

attendants, being ready,

κατατέμνουσι.
take them and
cut them up.
καὶ τὰ μὲν τῷ θεῷπαρέχουσι κᾱοντες εν βωμῷ ,
and some they offer to god, burning on altar,
δὲ τὰ διαιροῦσι τοῖσ παροῦσι .
and others they-divide-up for those present.

and when
all is ready,

σπένδει οῖνον καὶ
εύχεται θεῷ ,
priest
pours wine as a libation and prays to god.

then all drink wine

εσθίουσι κρέᾱ
τερπόμενοι δαιτὶ .
and eat
meat, enjoying feast

and he falls to ground and

looking toward
her, where are you, mother ?

is it dark ? and
mother says,
